It’s the age old story … boy meets girl. Boy marries girl.

Boy meets another girl, but instead of doing the honorable thing and telling his wife that she no longer appeals to him or letting the girl know he’s married, the boy decides to have his cake and eat it too.

Deception…

If the girl doesn’t ask … why bother to mention that he’s married. If she does, whatever lie that puts the girl’s mind at ease will suffice.

Adultery…

Swept off her feet by outpouring words of affection, adoration, and endearment … the unsuspecting girl falls in love and the boy plunges into an adulterous affair.

The first two hurdles crossed … what ensues is a diabolical plot for murder!

Married Sgt. Edgar Patino started his relationship with Spc. Megan Lynn Touma when both were stationed in Germany. The affair blossomed to the point that they were engaged and she became pregnant.

Patino was transferred to Fort Bragg in December 2007, and Touma followed six months later. They met at the Fairfield Inn, which is near the North Carolina based a day after she arrived. Her decomposed body was discovered in the motel’s bathtub four days later by a maintenance supervisor, who smelled a foul stench coming from a room with a “Do Not Disturb Sign.”

Patino admitted to police that he was the indeed the father of Touma’s unborn child and had been in her room on the night of June 13. The key card used to unlock Touma’s room showed no other entry other than the evening of June 13.

Unpremeditated Murder…

Since Patino has not offered any account to the events leading up to Touma’s death, a conclusion must be formed from what is known so far that he killed her in a fit of anger.

One of the main concern for an adulterer is to ensure that no evidence exist that can be used to traced back to him, but in the case of Sgt. Patino that theory does not hold true.

Had Patino spun the web of deception so complete that he became ensnared as well?

According to Breana Cooper who befriended Touma while they were stationed in Germany, she had had a conversation about Megan’s fiancée.

“She mentioned him,” Cooper acknowledged in a telephone interview. “That he was from Fort Bragg and that’s where she was going.”

Hypothesis…

1. Patino thought he was rid of Touma when he transferred to Fort Bragg.

2. Back home with his wife, he realized that Touma’s presence would ruin his family and military career.

3. He decides to meet her at a motel near the base.

4. Touma backs him into a corner when she divulges her plans for staying with him.

5. Patino finally tells her the truth.

6. Scorned … Touma threatens to expose him.

7. In a fit of rage—Patino kills her.

Verification…

1. After the murder Patino buys a typewriter. (Purchase was easily traced.)

2. Patino sends a note to the Fayetteville Observer and the police claiming to be the Zodiac serial killer. (Modus Operandi differs from actual Zodiac killer.)

3. Patino admits to being in Touma’s room on June 13. (Key card provides evidence that there was no other entry.)

Deception + Adultery =Murder. This sinful formula continues to be played out. With each new participant hoodwinked into believing that he is smarter than those who have fell victim to its overwhelming power before.

In affairs of the heart … perhaps songwriter Aaron Neville summed it up best.

At some point in our lives, at one time or another….“Everybody plays the fool sometimes, there is no exception to the rule.”

In this case … Patino’s art of deception and lust to commit adultery—led him to murder Spc. Megan Lynn Touma and her unborn child.

Perhaps the citizens of Harlem were naïve to think that the egregious racial acts that threatened their very existence and attempted to strip them of their civil liberties were a thing of the past.

And if that was the case … then they were rudely awakened and put on noticed that nothing could be further from the truth by the doll head incident.

On the night of July 22, Harlem residents claimed that a life-size black doll head was mounted on the rear antenna of an unmarked police car driven by two white officers.

The incident first came to light when New York State Senator, Bill Perkins [speaking on behalf of Harlem’s complaining citizens] reported it to a police official.

Senator Perkins stated that during the celebration of the opening of a new restaurant at 1529 Fifth Avenue, several young men who lived across the street, noticed the life-size black doll head on an unmarked police car as it patrolled through the neighborhood.

“When a witness attempted to take a picture of the doll head,” Senator Perkins said, “one of the officers immediately took it down, stuffed the baby head in the trunk of the car and walked away laughing.”

The senator said that when he confronted the officers later, they claimed to have no knowledge of the doll head whereabouts.

This event has fanned the flames of an already frayed relationship between the populace of Harlem and the police officers, who are supposed to serve and protect them.

Harlem’s venerable citizens are incensed over the incident and have likened the act to the KKK burning a cross. Most can recall the riots in 1935, 1943, and 1964 which were partly attributed to problems with the Police Department.

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly intimated that the doll head could have been the work of a neighborhood prankster. He blames the assertions made by Harlem residents of feeling victimized by officers as part of the negative stigma the police face in doing their job.

“I would describe our relations as good in Harlem and, quite frankly, throughout the city,” Commissioner Kelly said. “We are always going to have some pockets of tension because of what we do, because of the enforcement aspects of the work that the police department does.”

But residents disagree. Some have hinted that the relationship with the police have become more polarized; with a lot more young African-American males subjected to being stop and ordered to produce their identification.

The fear of reprisal, [for speaking out against police intimidation tactics] at least in the eyes of Harlem’s citizen came to fruition with the arrest of Clarence Jones.

Mr. Jones who had expressed his indignation over the doll incident at a news conference on July 24, and claimed to be the eyewitness, who tried to take the picture of the doll’s head, was apprehended on July 28, and charged with obstruction of government services and resisting arrest.

“I am certain it’s retaliation,” said Roger Wareham, Mr. Jones’s lawyer. “It’s sending a message to anyone else who is thinking of doing that, that it’s not worth it. This is what you are going to face.”

The Police Department released a statement claiming that the officers who arrested Mr. Jones were unaware of his connection with the outcry over the doll head incident.

How the life-size doll head got mounted on the antenna of the unmarked police car is debatable.

What isn’t however, are the feelings that this episode has spawned within the Harlem community.

Young African-American males assert that racial profiling is a tactic used by officers of the 28th precinct. Their chief complaint is that they are constantly being stopped and harassed by police.

The New York Civil Liberties Union obtained data from the Police Department corroborating the allegations made by Harlem’s young African-American male population.

These encounters known as “stop-and-frisks” showed a disparity in the overall numbers from April through June in 2006. The 28th precinct, in Central Harlem, police officers made 2,365 stops, compared to 409 made by officers in the 24th precinct, on the Upper West Side, although both share the same crime statistics.

And according to data from the first three months of this year the trend is likely to continue … 514 stops in the 28th precinct and 460 in the 24th.

Although police claim that they make stops based on the descriptions of suspects, it’s becoming increasing difficult to find someone, who doesn’t feel that it’s really based on the age and hue of a person’s skin.

It would seem that the citizens of Harlem have a legitimate grievance and are justified in being fearful of the very officers, who have taken an oath to serve and protect them.

Perhaps the old adage is true … African-Americans have come a long way—but to the citizens of Harlem, the rogue cops who patrol the streets with a life-size black baby doll head … they haven’t come far enough.

Mirlande Jean-Baptiste had a very big day ahead of her. It was her wedding day, and like most brides-to-be, she had so many errands, so many loose ends that needed to be tied up, to ensure that the momentous day went according to plan.

The first thing on Ms. Jean-Baptiste’s list that day, accompanied by her sister, was to drop off her son and several other children, at the house of a family friend.

Unbeknownst to Jean-Baptiste, her 4-year-old son never got out of the car.

While Jean-Baptiste was on her way to the nail salon, 19-year-old Emanuella Castor, who later that evening was to be a bridesmaid at the wedding, naturally assumed that the boy’s mother had taken him with her when she didn’t see him among the other children that were dropped off.

Ms. Jean-Baptiste unaware that her son, Gregory was in the Ford Expedition she had been driving—locked the SUV and went inside the salon to have her nails done.

She and her sister returned to the SUV three hours later.

Ms. Jean-Baptiste became hysterical at the sight of her son sprawled out on the seat of the SUV. While her sister called 911, Jean-Baptiste, who works as a nurse, tried frantically to resuscitate her son.

Paramedics arrived and tried to revive the 4-year-old, but their attempts were in vain … he was pronounced dead on arrival at Palms West hospital.

Although the temperature outside where the SUV had been parked was around 89 degrees Fahrenheit, experts speculated that the temperature inside the vehicle could have been as high as 139 degrees Fahrenheit.

The medical examiner said that Gregory Cesar’s body temperature had reached 108 degrees Fahrenheit.

Following the death of her son, the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s wanted to get Ms. Jean-Baptiste’s account of what happened, but were unable to do so because the distraught mother had to be sedated.

She broke her silence on Monday, July 21.

Overcome with anguish, she called her son’s death a horrible accident. She thought that Gregory was in a family friend’s car with four other children.

The day that began with so much promise, ended up being a day of mourning.

Guests, who had arrived to celebrate a wedding, were told by Pastor Wendell Charles of the Elected Church of God in Lake Worth, to make their way to the hospital.

Family members still attired in their wedding suits and gowns were overcome with emotions in the Palms West hospital waiting room, when they heard that Gregory Cesar died and lamented…

How could this happen?

Why did it happen?

Perhaps, 4-year-old Gregory wanted to be with his mother. He could have easily hid in the third row of the SUV. If he didn’t make a sound, his mother would not [from the disastrous turn of events] have known her son was back there.

Mirlande Jean-Baptiste life has been irrevocably changed.

She now has to live with the agony of knowing that her child died in the sweltering heat.

But unaware that she had locked him in the Ford Expedition, Ms. Jean-Baptiste was powerless to help her son when he needed her the most.

“It’s My Binky” has recalled 115,000 of its personalized pacifiers.

Although no serious injuries have been reported, the company made its decision after receiving two reports of the pacifier button, ring handle, and the shield with nipple detaching—posing a potential choking hazard for infants.

The recall affects pacifiers with Japlo imprinted on the lower part of the front cover shield. The pacifiers come in a variety of colors: blue, white and pink.

The pacifiers are also unique because of the various designs and words printed on the button. The affected pacifiers were sold from February 2006 through June 2008 and retailed between $5 and $6.

Parents should immediately desist in their use of these pacifiers and return them to the store where purchased. For online purchases, contact the company at once for a free pacifier replacement.

400 penguins, mostly baby birds have been found dead on the tropical beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

The cause for this anomaly has rescue workers debating.

According to Eduardo Pimenta, superintendent for the state coastal protection and environment agency in the city of Cabo Frio:

“While it is common here to find some penguins—both dead and alive—swept by strong ocean currents from the Strait of Magellan, there has been more this year than any time in recent history.”

Thaigo Muniz, a veterinarian at the Neteroi Zoo, believes that overfishing has force the penguins to migrate further from shore to find fish to eat, making them more vulnerable to the strong ocean currents.

“Niteroi, the biggest zoo, already has received about 100 penguins for treatment this year,” said Mr. Muniz, “and many more are drenched in petroleum.”

Muniz went on to add that he hasn’t seen penguins suffering from other pollutants, but he pointed out the dead penguins are not brought in to receive treatment.

Mr. Pimenta however strongly suggested that the real culprit in the penguins’ death is pollution, citing information he received from biologist working closely with him.

“Aside from the oil in the Campos basin, the pollution is lowering the animals’ immunity, leaving them vulnerable to funguses and bacteria that attack their lungs,” Pimenta said.

And still another theory has been proffered:

Biologist Erli Costa of Rio de Janeiro’s Federal University intimated that the weather patterns could be the true source of the problem.

“I don’t think the levels of pollution are high enough to affect the birds so quickly. I think instead we’re seeing more young and sick penguins because of global warming, which affects ocean currents and creates more cyclones, making the seas rougher,” Costa said.

Costa concluded that an overwhelming number of dead penguins are fledglings that have just left the nest and are unable to out-swim the strong ocean currents that engulf them as they search for food.

No matter what theory these rescue workers purport … one thing is abundantly clear…

Overfishing, petroleum pollution, and weather pattern changes [attributed to global warming] are all conditions created by man.

Perhaps in a quest to find food, Penguins are on the march, and if man is not careful, he will find that his uncaring attitude in maintaining natures’ delicate balance … has forced the penguins into a march of extinction.

In a follow up to Make Mine Without Tomatoes the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lifted its warning on tomatoes not because it found the source of the outbreak, but because the ones that were contaminated, would have been discarded by this time due to spoilage.

Now comes yet another warning…

Jalapeño Pepper Tests Positive for Salmonella!

Food and safety officials stated today that a fresh jalapeño grown in Mexico and processed in Texas tested positive for the strain of Salmonella, which is responsible for making 1,200 people sick.

The associate commissioner of the FDA, David Acheson, said there has been a “significant break in the salmonella investigation,” but he also stressed the fact that the investigation is still ongoing.

As a result of this latest development, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking people nationwide to avoid eating fresh jalapeño and serrano peppers. The warning also includes eating any food that has been prepared with fresh jalapeño peppers as well.

The origin of the pepper that tested positive was from a produce distribution center called Agricola Zaragosa, in McAllen Texas. Although other samples have tested negative, the distribution center has recalled all peppers that passed through its plant since the outbreak.

Dr. Robert Tauxe of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cited these figures on the outbreak thus far:

The outbreak of the Salmonella strain, known as Salmonella stapul has made 1,251 people sick, caused another 229 to be hospitalized and has led to the death of two elderly men, who died from unrelated causes while being infected.

To determine if the small facility in McAllen, Texas is responsible for the entire outbreak, the FDA has sent inspectors to Mexico.

The FDA’s action has prompted Mexico to conduct an investigation of its own. Marco Antonio Sifuentes, spokesman for the Mexican agriculture ministry, asserts that the strain of bacteria that has sickened over 1,200 people in the United States has never materialized in Mexico.

A small, green, husked tomato-like fruit known as tomatillos are also shipped from the Produce Distribution Center in McAllen, Texas.

The facility in Texas was investigated after the FDA traced a cluster of illnesses to that geographical area.

“We are working back from a population of patients who got sick in a single geographic area that ate in a single place,” Acheson said. “We asked where peppers linked to that cluster came from.”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration lifted the warning on tomatoes without ever finding the source of the outbreak, and now it’s released a similar warning on jalapeño and serrano peppers.

The public’s confidence in the FDA is waning.

Parents are outraged by this latest turn of events. Concerned parents are prohibiting their children from eating tomatoes and given the FDA’s inability to properly track the source of an outbreak, wonder if they should bar their children from eating other produce as well.

No one wants their child to be part of the statistics when a new produce is found with the Salmonella stapul strain.

U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, a Democrat from Iowa, who chairs the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee, issued the following statement:

“This is far too long for an outbreak to spread unresolved and it is unacceptable for public health, farmers and the food produce industry.”

According to Dr. Tauxe, 14 more case has been reported since last Friday, July 18.

No one knows for sure where the breakdown has occurred in the production cycle that led to the jalapeño pepper being infected with the Salmonella strain and according to Dr. Tauxe, the investigation is still ongoing.

As consumers of Tomatoes, Peppers, and other forms of produce, the public should be made aware of this fact:

Abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and fever are all common symptoms of Salmonella poisoning … 40,000 cases and 400 deaths are reported in the United States each year.

Err on the side of caution and forgo jalapeño peppers and tomatoes for now, until the FDA does its job properly and not only find the source of the current outbreak, but implement a system to track and prevent other outbreaks from reaching epidemic proportions.

Heath Ledger’s manic depiction of the Clown Prince of Crime once again upstages the actor playing opposite him in the role of Batman.

Not since Jack Nicholson’s performance as “The Joker” has an actor taken the role to new heights.

Ledger’s transformation into the depraved and sadistic character of the Joker has fans and critics hailing his performance and the level he took it—to be far superior to that of Nicholson’s, and worthy of Oscar consideration.

Ledger’s portrayal was mesmerizing for the mere fact that has you watched the film, there was an inescapable feeling … Heath believed that he was the Joker, and the buzz from fans and critics, it would appear that they came away with the same impression as well.

Every scene was unique and it appeared as if Ledger was trying to surpass his performance from the last one.

The make-up on his face which resembled chalk left out in the rain … cast a ghastly and demented shadow that seemed to emanate from a hidden side that Ledger knew only too well.

Good versus Evil … are they really on both sides of the same coin?

Through Ledger’s performance, the dark side that lies dormant in most of us comes to life. One gets the feeling that Heath is no longer acting, but living out his inner turmoil out on the screen for the world to see.

Sadly the light that once burned so brightly—ceases to flicker with Ledger’s untimely death from an overdose of prescription drugs.

“You complete me,” the Joker disquietly tells Batman.

As far as The Dark Knight is concern … Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker is what made this movie complete.

A complete and sudden change in attitude, direction, position, and principle etc., is what AT&T is guilty of yet again.

In what appears to be either a technical or advertising snafu, AT&T retracted a posted message from its website that stated it would provide iPhone owners with free Wi-Fi service.

The company has remain tight-lipped on what caused the error and refuses to acknowledge if the message was a precursor of whether free Wi-Fi service would be available in the not too distant future.

Why else would the message have been written in the first place?

“AT&T knows Wi-Fi is hot, and Free Wi-Fi even hotter, which is why we are proud to offer iPhone customers free access to the nation’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot network with more than 17,000 hotspots.”

The above message was removed at 9 a.m. PDT from AT&T’s website.

“It was posted in error and was removed shortly thereafter, so it should not have been up,” said Seth Bloom, an AT&T spokesperson, in a phone interview. “We know how important Wi-Fi is and we intend to make it available to as many people as we can, but nothing can be announced today.”

It would appear that AT&T thoroughly briefed their representatives. Another spokesperson quoted the aforementioned message, verbatim.

Could they have been reading from the same script?

AT&T’s list of poor execution where the iPhone is concern continues to grow:

· Miscalculating the necessary resources needed to activate the iPhones led to long lines and a horrifying customer experience.

· Trying to appeased customers for the company’s poor planning and execution by putting out a report that Apple’s iTunes was the source of the activation catastrophe. Whether Apple was responsible or not, AT&T’s finger-pointing, does little to ease frustrated customers.

· Misleading consumers that the new rate plans for the iPhone actually saves them money

· iPhone users received free Wi-Fi service in the latter part of April. Service was terminated several days later, without an official announcement of what happened.

This latest incident however leaves AT&T with egg on its face. It would appear that the company does not believe in the authority of the printed word or the intelligence of its consumers.

Why else would AT&T refuse to disclose, although they claim the message was posted in error, whether or not iPhone owners would ever receive free Wi-Fi service.

If the message was posted prematurely, then the company should own up to the mistake, but to do an about face and offer no comment on the prospect of free Wi-Fi service, is an affront to AT&T iPhone owners.

Where is 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony?

Cindy Anthony, Caylee’s grandmother, and the Florida Police Dept. would like to know.

The one person, who could possibly shed some light on Caylee’s disappearance, her 22-year-old mother, is not cooperating with authorities, and has spun a web of deceit, that authorities simply can’t trust her.

“We can’t compel Casey Anthony to give us more information,” Orange County Sheriff Sgt. John Allen said. “She has a right to not talk to us about it. But certainly as the mother, I would hope she would be willing to give us whatever information she had to help us find her child.”

Casey Anthony reported her daughter Caylee missing at the insistence of her mother. Caylee’s grandmother had grown weary of the inconsistencies in her daughter’s story and wanted desperately to see her granddaughter.

Casey Anthony told officials that she dropped off her daughter on June 9 at the baby sitter—a woman she identified as Zenaida Gonzalez, but when she returned to pick Caylee up, the child was missing.

Investigators found a woman by that name, but Ms. Gonzalez claims that she never met Anthony or her daughter Caylee.

Authorities continue to look for other women with a similar name.

“As we continue to investigate this, we find more inconsistencies in the mother’s story,” said Sgt. Allen. “So we continue to look for witnesses.”

The Sheriff’s Office arrested Caylee’s mother on Wednesday, July 16. Casey Anthony has been charged with child neglect, providing false information to officials, and obstructing a criminal investigation.

Orange County Judge John Jordan denied Anthony bail and denounced her strange behavior.

“You left your 2-year-old child with a person who does not exist, at an apartment you cannot identify,” Jordan said. “You lied to your parents about your child whereabouts. You cared so little about your child.”

Casey Anthony simply nodded as the judge spoke.

Anthony’s trail of lies has her family and officials baffled. Why would a woman with no criminal record, refuse to assist authorities in finding her missing daughter?

Judge Jordan ordered a mental-health evaluation.

Is Caylee Marie Anthony still alive?

“At this point, there is no indication that Caylee is deceased,” Capt. Angelo Nieves said. “We don’t know where she is. Our concern is for the child and to locate her.”

Teams from the Orange County Sherriff’s Office brought digging equipment and cadaver dogs to the home of Cindy Anthony. Investigators moved a playhouse from where it was situated and checked the ground beneath it.

Detectives are following up on any lead in order to unravel the web of lies that Casey Anthony has spun.

· Early June … Casey Anthony tells her mother that her job was sending her to Tampa for a few days.

· Anthony then changes the story and tells her mother that she would be vacationing with friends and taking Caylee with her.

· June 9 … Casey Anthony claims she left Caylee Marie with a baby-sitter.

· Casey Anthony informs detective that she worked for Universal Studious and coworkers could vouch for her.

· The baby-sitter’s apartment where Casey Anthony claims she dropped her daughter off in June has been vacant for five months.

· The woman that Anthony claimed to be the baby-sitter (Zenaida Gonzalez) has no prior knowledge of her or Caylee.

As Cindy Anthony tries to find solace in the confines of her granddaughter’s room … adorned with Winnie the Pooh decorations and pictures of Caylee, she prays that the empty chair at the tiny teatime table, the bed lined with SpongeBob and teddy bears—won’t remain that way much longer.

As he and a group of friends were walking from a bar during the celebration for the Boston Celtics becoming NBA champions, David Woodman’s remarks may have cost him his life.

“Wow, it seems like there’s a lot of crime on this corner,” David said, as he and his friends passed about a dozen uniformed officers at the corner of Fenway and Brookline Avenue.

According to a friend who spoke on a condition of anonymity, the following ensued.

Officers grabbed Woodman, who was armed with nothing more than a plastic cup of beer, and as they struggled to handcuffed him, pushed his face down to the ground.

“He wasn’t being a punk or anything like that,” said the friend. “I don’t understand why the officers used such brute force to arrest him.”

The friend then stated that they were ordered to leave or face arrest. Another friend said, he returned a few minutes later and the threat of apprehension was repeated.

“They were all just around him and he was on the ground and not moving,” the friend said. “I didn’t see them giving him CPR.”

The friend’s account of the incident is in stark contrast to a Boston Police report that was given to the Howard Friedman, the family’s lawyer.

According to the report, Woodman “began struggling with officers as they attempted to handcuff him. Officers immediately realized that David Woodman was not breathing and they began to give CPR and summoned EMS to that location.”

“We don’t know what happened,” said Jeffrey Woodman. “We are left to surmise that something occurred while he was in police custody that stopped is heart.”

The Boston Globe published a story indicating that officers stated that they immediately administered cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and flagged an ambulance when they noticed that Woodman was in distress. They claimed to have done everything possible before he was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

The Woodman’s disagree. They contend that their son must have been deprived of oxygen for at least for minutes for him to have suffered such significant brain damage.

It would appear that the Jeffrey and Cathy Woodman have a valid point.

Elaine Driscoll, spokeswoman for the Boston Police, at first stated that officers called for an ambulance at 12.47 a.m., in response to a drunken man on the ground, and immediately began CPR. She later amended that information, saying that officers did not administer CPR at that time but initially put out a low-priority call for an ambulance to tend to a drunken reveler.

Subsequently, over the next six minutes, she said officers discovered Woodman wasn’t breathing, initiated CPR, and at 12.53 a.m. put out a second call for an ambulance, warning “please push.”

The police report indicates that one of the officers flagged down a private Cataldo ambulance.

According to Ron Quaranto, CEO of Cataldo, his ambulance crew arrived at 12.58 a.m., and treated David Woodman at the scene. Woodman was then delivered to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at 1:11 a.m.

Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis issued the following statement at a 10-minute press conference at police headquarters.

“It appears from the evidence we have reviewed thus far that officers did not use excessive force. No pepper spray or batons were used in this incident.”

David Woodman awoke on June 23 from a medically induced coma. At that time his parents stated that he recognized them but was unable to communicate properly and whispered, “What happened?”

His parents said, he asked to go home. They were elated. They believed their son would survive, but would require a lengthy rehabilitation.

Their hopes were dashed when David died on Sunday at 2:30 a.m.

“Based upon what we know thus far, we do not believe that any excessive force was used, and we do believe officers responded reasonably,” Driscoll stated.

Yet no one has been able to explain to the Woodmans, why it took eight police officers and one supervisor to subdue their son.

Ironically all of the officers had to be treated at a hospital for stress following the incident.

The president of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, Thomas J. Nee said, he fully understands the Woodman’s anguish, “but nothing those officers did that night caused his death.”

The large scrape that was visible near David’s right eye and his significant brain damage.

Jeffrey and Cathy Woodman find that hard to believe…
